What is Down the hole drilling hammer (DTH hammer)?

DTH hammer is an integral part of the submersible drilling rig and is part of the working equipment of the submersible drilling rig.
DTH hammer is divided into low air pressure DTH hammer, medium air pressure DTH hammer and high air DTH hammer.


The working principle of the DTH hammer : at the beginning of the hammer stroke, the piston and the valve piece are both in the extreme upper position, and the pressurized air enters the upper cavity of the cylinder through the radial hole of the valve cover and the valve seat, pushing the piston to move downward at high speed to impact the drill bit. When the piston reaches the spline groove of the bushing and is closed, the pressure in the lower cavity starts to rise, so the centre hole of the upper end of the piston leaves the air distribution rod, making the upper cavity open to the atmosphere, the pressure decreases and the working stroke ends. When the piston impacts the end of the drill bit, the valve piece changes direction due to its upper and lower pressure difference, and the piston repeats the return stroke movement.

High air pressure DTH hammer features :
